If your paying $1,500 or Less in Rent ...

You should be able to buy up to

$350,000

If your paying between $1,500 - $2,000 

You should be able to buy between $350,000-$450,000

If Your Paying $2,000 or More in Rent ...

You should be able to buy a home over $450,000

Just use 38% of your gross monthly income to determine your affordabilty if your not renting ...


Example: $5,000 per month x 38% = $1,900 ($350,000 - $450,000)
